This happens because these games are their selling point and a reason to make you by their machines (PS4), and that is what makes people buy a PS4, to play these kinds of games. There is even NO PC VERSIONS of older God Of War’s yet, and even epic series like Uncharted. There are many games that dont even run, and many games which have started to be totally working and playable. (I'M SERIOUS) Because, currently, the PS3 EMULATOR called RPCS3 is in development, and it is still not stable since its first release in 2012.
It is a PS4 exclusive, that means you will have to buy a PS4 to play it Or you could EMULATE THE PS4 version on your PC when the emulation community starts building a PS4 emulator in maybe, like, 15 years later from now. It might be under development though, I’m not sure! Now if u have a PS2 or PS3 u can enjoy all the games of GOW franchise except for GOW 4,and since PS4 is not backwards compatible with PS3, so ultimately you’ll have to buy a PS4 to play it. It will surely take some time to build a decent working emulator for PS4. But, I can assure you, U CAN'T PLAY GOW 4 ON PC AS OF NOW. From the looks of it, there are many videos online showing how to successfully play PS4 games, but they all are fake. Now the architecture of PS4 is better than PS3, so it won’t be easy to build an emulator for the same. Now PS4 was launched in 2013 and the emulator which comes online when searched is PCSX4. The development of such semi-open source softwares are quite slow and difficult, that's why we are still not able to play PS3 games on pc smoothly considering it has been more than 10 years since the PS3 launch. So bad luck for U.:P But there are some chances though like for eg:- Some of the PlayStation 2 games can be played on PC by using the PSX2 emulator, PS3 games can somewhat be played by the RPCX3, but the software still has many bugs and glitches and you can't play a game in it smoothly. God Of War is made and developed by the Santa Monica Studio and is published by Sony Interactive Entertainment(SIE) and its a PlayStation exclusive game.
